This past weekend we celebrated my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Aubrey, in Fredericksburg, Texas, and we had such a fun time. Fredericksburg is a city about an hour and a half outside of Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and is known for it’s wineries. It’s the perfect spot for a girl’s weekend or a fun get away with your hubby. (I plan to take Cory back soon!) We rented out the cutest little farmhouse and it was perfect for our group of girls. I would highly suggest it if you’re planning a trip there and need a larger space.
Saturday morning we woke up and had breakfast at our house and got ready for the day. Aubrey’s sister Emily hosted a little cookie decorating class and it was seriously so fun! I may not be the best cookie decorator, but they sure tasted good.
That afternoon, we headed to Downtown Fredericksburg, which was super cute and had a bunch of little shops and restaurants. We popped into a few clothing and home decor boutiques and I even got Cory some Goldendoodle socks at a place called Dogologie. Haha! (In case you missed it, we just got our very own Goldendoodle so we constantly have puppies on our mind! Haha! You can see cute pictures of Oliver here.)
Afterward, we went to Hilmy Cellars for a wine tasting. The vineyard had a patio overlooking the beautiful hill country and a cool indoor tasting room. We spent all of our time indoors because it was getting dark by the time we went, but I would love to go back sometime and relax on the patio. They gave us six wines to sample and we bought a few cheese tasting boards, which for me, is always a must when drinking wine. Haha! (Let’s be honest, when do you not want a cheese board? Haha)
For dinner we went to Stout’s Trattoria and had some yummy pizza. My favorite was the Rendezvous with parmesan, arugula and prosciutto. It was incredibly delicious! Once we were all full of pizza, we headed back to the house for a fun lingerie shower, some party games, and then finished off the night watching Bride Wars! Haha… classic!
Sunday morning we all woke up, ate breakfast at the house, and got on the road pretty early to get home. Overall, the Hill Country was the perfect destination for a relaxing and fun bachelorette weekend. We had such a sweet time celebrating Aubrey and I’m counting down the days until their December 2nd wedding day when I get a new sister! YAY!
