Cruising in the Caribbean: Part 1

Every year my family tries to take a vacation together and this year was so much fun! Cory had never been on a cruise before and my parents love cruises… so it was an easy decision to take my hubby on his first ever cruise!!! We got on our ship, The Carnival Breeze, in Galveston and stopped at 3 ports over 7 days: Mexico, Belize, and Honduras!!!
I’d been to Cozumel before, but neither of the other places so I was super excited to visit 2 new countries. The cruise ship itself was pretty incredible. If you’ve never been on a cruise before, most of them have theaters, multiple restaurants, lounges/bars, dining rooms, stores, spas, workout rooms, and basically anything you can imagine a resort to have. I’ve been on a few cruises before, but it still weirds me out to know that we are literally on a floating hotel in the middle of the ocean. Haha!
Our first stop was to Cozumel! Cory and I swam with the dolphins and it was SO much fun!! It’s amazing how smart and sweet they are. Our favorite part was when they came up next to us and pulled us super fast through the water! We made a lot of awesome memories that day, and now Cory wants a pet dolphin! Haha!!
After our swim we went back into town and did a little shopping and sight seeing!
I just loved how colorful and festive the whole city was!
Despite having already been to Cozumel, it was a blast! It was such a perfect way to start off our cruise and I loved exploring the city with Cory.
I can’t wait to share about Belize and Honduras in my next post! Check back soon!!!
Love,

  1. Love all the colors of Cozumel! This sounds like a cruise I'd like to do one day…just have to convince the Mr. 🙂

  2. I can't wait to read about the other two ports! I cruise often but have never been to Hondorus or Belize. When we were in Cozumel I remember getting pictures done with these huge tropical birds on our shoulder. I was frightened!

  3. Thank you!! I actually got it at a Farmer's Market type event and I don't remember what the boutique it was from was called!! So Sorry!!
