Show and Tell Tuesday: My Loves

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! Today I wanted to introduce you to some of the people I love most, my family.
1. My sweet husband Cory!
Cory and I have been married for just over 6 months and are enjoying all of the blessings that come along with marriage. A few fun facts about my favorite person in the world…
The first time Cory tried to talk to me I completely shut him down. (haha oops!) Luckily, I eventually gave him a chance.
Cory asked me to marry him after 10 months of dating and we got married 4 months later. If you ask me, 4 months was too long for an engagement. I think a good number would of been between 2-3 months. You can read more about our wedding here and here.
He is my best friend and favorite person on this earth!
2. Our family!
I grew up in a small town south of Dallas, called Ovilla, which is where my parents, Scott and Carol, still live. My mom is a retired teacher and my dad is a retired accountant. My brother, Eric, lives in Richardson and works for Fidelity Investments.

Here’s a few throwback pictures:

And some present day pictures:
My in-laws, Larry and Diann, live in Austin and both work at the Austin Stone Church!
My sister-in-law, Catherine, owns her own company called Marry Me in Spring! She is super talented and draws all kinds of illustrations from proposals, to homes, to brides, and families. My brother-in-law, Coby, who happens to be Cory’s identical twin brother, is also part of Dude Perfect.
Here is everyone together.
These are all the greatest people ever!
3. Our dogs!
I can’t complete a post about my family without including my dogs!
This is Charlee (I named her… and yes she is a girl) and Shadow!
Well, those are my loves!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope everyone has a great Valentine’s day!

Love,
Amy Cotton

  1. Love this post, girl! You are so lucky to have such a big family and all around the same area. My husband is a twin and an accountant. Your fur babies are just adorable! Our engagement was around 7 months and it was absolutely too long for us. Looking back, if we had it to do over, we would have had a 2-3 engagement too!!

  2. Your dogs are so cute! That's so funny you shut him down the first time he tried to talk to you! My husband and I went to elementary school together, but different high schools. I worked at a local store my junior year and he got a job there. When he walked in for his first day I acted like I didn't know him!!! He said, “Didn't you go to St. David's?” and I totally denied it. Ha!
